The Association can reclaim tax paid on subscriptions via the HMRC's Gift Aid scheme. To do this a declaration needs to be made in an acceptable format. You may make it by downloading this paper form, completing it and sending to the Honorary Treasurer; the address is on the form.
Alternatively it is possible to do it via email. However it is important to follow these instructions carefully or the result will not be acceptable to HMRC. The text between the lines below must be copied and pasted into the body of an email, the brackets '[ ]' replaced by appropriate text, and sent direct to the Hon Treasurer, Bridget Lazenby, . It must NOT be completed as a separate document and then attached to an email.

Please treat as Gift Aid donations all qualifying gifts, including subscriptions, of money made:-
today Y / N in the past 4 years Y / N in the future Y / N
Please delete Y or N for ALL three options.
I confirm that I have paid or will pay, for each tax year, an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax that is a least equal to the amount of tax that all the charities that I will donate to will reclaim on my gifts for that tax year. I understand that if, in any year, I pay less Income Tax / Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations for that year, it is my responsibility to pay any difference. I understand the charity will reclaim tax at 25p on every pound I have given.
